How the Bharosa Scholarship Campaign Started?

In the light of Covid-19 and its devastating impact on lives and the livelihoods of people across Nepal, Dish Home, a leading DTH provider in Nepal, collected generous donations from various organizations and individuals to support the individuals and families affected by Covid-19. Dish home originally planned to support clinics and hospitals with machines and equipment to help the fight against the Covid-19. As the Situation has become much more normal in terms of medical equipment available in Nepal, it has been deemed practical and effective to invest in the education of children whose education has been disrupted. Hence, a comprehensive Scholarship Scheme titled “ Bharosa Scholarship’’ has been set up.

What is Bharosa Scholarship Programme?

Bharosa is a Scholarship Scheme currently for one year and renewable as the programme gains more strength. In its first year, the programme aims to support the students who have lost their major source of support in education due to a death in the family from Covid-19. The programme will support all the provinces of Nepal with emphasis placed on districts that fall low on the Human Development Index.

Below are the total numbers of districts in each province where the Bharosa Scholorship Campaign will be working for a year.
