Tilakram Bk, 16, from Galkot, one of the Municipalities in the Baglung district of western Nepal. He comes from the Dalit community. He is a bright student and recently attempted the SEE examination. Most of the children from his community drop out of school and are involved in different labour. This child always wants to study and create a bright future. It is known that most of the Dalit family in Nepal is economically backward. Tilakram’s family income is also less than a hundred thousand. There are five members in his family. It was due to the COVID-19 pandemic his father died, and now Tilakram is very much uncertain about his future as there is no one in his family who could provide financial support for his further education. He is compelled to discontinue his studies and enter into the labour world if he doesn’t get any external support. The Bharosa scholarship could support Tilakram’s education and stop him from entering into the labour world.
