Jharna Thapa, 17, is from Jaimini, one of the municipalities in the Baglung District of western Nepal. She is a grade 12 student with a science major. She wants to continue her further higher level of education and support her family.Jharna family income is based on agriculture, but the income is very less for the family members to survive. With an annual income of less than Rs 100000, Jharana’s father managed all the expenses for the family.
Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic took the life of her father. Jharana’s family is going through an extreme financial crisis. Being the eldest child of the family, she now has the full responsibility of supporting her mother and brother, and it is very difficult for her to continue her education. She thinks that it is impossible for her to study due to her financial crisis. The Bharosa scholarship can provide her with great support to continue her further education.
