About Us
What is the Bharosa Scholarship?
The Bharosa scholarship programme provides financial assistance to students who have lost their primary means of educational support due to unfortunate events such as COVID-19-related deaths and road traffic accidents. The scholarship aims to help those students who face challenges in pursuing higher education due to financial constraints caused by the loss of their parents or guardians. In its first year, the Bharosa scholarship programme supported 35 students whose schooling had been interrupted due to the passing of their parents from COVID-19.
The programme extends its support across all regions of Nepal, with a special focus on districts that rank lower in terms of the Human Development Index (HDI). To achieve its mission, Bharosa works in collaboration with HELP, Fact Nepal, and DISH-HOME, reputable organizations known for their contributions to social welfare and development in Nepal. By providing financial assistance through the Bharosa scholarship programme, more students can access higher education and achieve their academic goals despite facing challenging circumstances caused by unexpected events like COVID-19-related deaths and road traffic accidents.
