Sudip Chaudhary, 18, is from Belaka, one of the rural municipalities in the Udayapur District of eastern Nepal. Currently, he is studying in grade 11 at Greenland international secondary school Biratnagar. He wants to continue his further higher level of education and support his family. Sudip’s family relies on agriculture, but the income is insufficient for the whole family. With an annual income of less than Rs 100,000, Sudip’s father is only the one to address all household needs.
Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic took the life of the only breadwinner of the family. Sudip’s family is going through an extreme financial crisis. Being the eldest child of the family, he now has the full responsibility of supporting his mother and whole household expenses. It is very difficult for him to continue his education. Perhaps, he might have to discontinue his studies now. The Bharosa scholarship can provide him with great support to continue his further education.
