Sunita Nepali, 18, from Baiteshwor, one of the Rural Municipalities in the Dolakha district of eastern Nepal. Recently, she has finished her SEE examination and is waiting for the results. Despite the financial crisis in the family, Sunita never compromised on her education. She is an outstanding student and has always used to dream to support her father. She has five family members in her house. Her family’s income is based on agriculture, and her father is the only one who used to earn for the whole 5-member family. Agriculture is the family’s primary source of income. Although the income was insufficient, the entire expenses of Sunita and her family were adjusted with it.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, her father died, and Sunita’s family had to go through a financial crisis. The family has to pay the loan taken during the treatment of Sunita’s father. Sunita now finds it extremely difficult to continue her further higher level of education. The Bharosa scholarship will be highly advantageous for her to continue her studies.
