Dilendra Budha, 16, is from Tamangkhola, one of the rural municipalities in the Baglung district of western Nepal. Recently, he completed his 10th grade and is waiting for the results. He wants to continue his further/higher education and support his family. Dilendra’s family relies on agriculture, but the income is hardly enough for four family members to survive. With an annual income of less than Rs 100,000, Dilendra’s father used to address all household needs.
Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic took the life of the family’s only breadwinner. Dilendra’s family is going through an extreme financial crisis. Being the family’s eldest child, he now has full responsibility for supporting his mother and sister, and it is tough for him to continue his education. Perhaps, he might have to discontinue his studies now. The Bharosa scholarship can provide him with excellent support to continue his further education.
